Description
Chianti Classico DOCG 2023 – Castello di Verrazzano
One of the most iconic and historic labels of the Greve in Chianti territory, produced since the estate’s very first vintage in 1924. The 2023 vintage fully reflects the winery’s philosophy, combining the crisp elegance of Sangiovese with a vibrant freshness and clean aromatic profile.
Tasting Notes
-
Appearance: Bright and limpid ruby red color, enriched with youthful violet reflections.
-
Nose: The bouquet opens intense and fragrant. Distinct notes of ripe red fruits, particularly cherry and wild blackberry, emerge immediately. These are perfectly integrated with floral nuances of violet and a very subtle touch of spice and oak (boisé), stemming from the judicious use of wood.
-
Palate: Harmonious, lean, and beautifully balanced on the palate. It features a good structure supported by a pleasant savory component and the crisp acidity typical of its terroir of origin. The tannins are fine, sweet, and well-polished. The finish is clean and persistent, with a crisp, fruity aftertaste.
