Description
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Camigliano
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Camigliano is an elegant and authentic expression of the renowned Montalcino terroir. Produced exclusively from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown in the estate’s vineyards, it originates from soils rich in clay, limestone, and silt, imparting remarkable structure, depth, and exceptional ageing potential. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with extended skin maceration, followed by 24 months of ageing in large Slavonian oak casks and additional bottle refinement, fully respecting the strict regulations of the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG appellation.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour that gradually evolves into elegant garnet hues with age. The bouquet is refined and complex, revealing aromas of ripe cherry, black cherry, and wild red berries layered with delicate notes of violet, tobacco, leather, cocoa, sweet spices, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious, and beautifully balanced, supported by silky, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity that lead to a long, persistent, and mineral-driven finish.
A wine of remarkable elegance and longevity, it pairs beautifully with roasted and grilled red meats, game, braised dishes, truffle-based recipes, and mature cheeses. Best served at 18°C (64–65°F), it also makes an outstanding meditation wine.
