Description
The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Paerno 2019 is one of the most authentic and refined expressions of Verona’s winemaking tradition. Produced by the Vaona winery in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica region, it is crafted from a carefully selected blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, which undergo the traditional drying process (appassimento) to enhance concentration, complexity, and aromatic depth.
In the glass, it displays a deep garnet-red color. The bouquet is rich and elegant, revealing intense aromas of preserved cherry, black cherry, ripe plum, wild berries, cocoa, sweet tobacco, exotic spices, and delicate balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, powerful, and enveloping, with silky tannins perfectly integrated into a structure of remarkable balance and depth. The finish is exceptionally long, refined, and persistent.
Extended aging in oak barrels adds further complexity and sophistication, making this Amarone ideal both for long-term cellaring and for immediate enjoyment alongside braised meats, game dishes, premium cuts of red meat, and aged cheeses.
