Description
Boscarelli’s Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2022 is a masterful example of balance, coming from one of the historic estates most respected for its ability to combine finesse and tradition.
Short Description.
-
Style: Elegant and territorial. Despite the hot vintage (2022), Boscarelli maintains a vibrant freshness thanks to the strategic location of its vineyards in Cervognano.
-
Grapes: 90% Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile), supplemented by small percentages of Mammolo, Canaiolo and Colorino.
-
Nose: Classic, clean bouquet with notes of violet, maraschino cherry and a light spiciness of pepper and tobacco.
-
Palate: Medium-bodied sip, characterized by silky tannins and a distinct mineral vein. It is less “muscular” than other 2022s, relying entirely on drinkability and persistence.
-
Aging: Matures for about 18-24 months in oak barrels of different capacities to preserve the integrity of the fruit.
Why choose it.
This is the ideal wine for those seeking the more refined and artisanal face of Montepulciano. Compared to Avignonesi, it is more tied to the tradition of the historic blend, while compared to De’ Ricci 2022 it is usually more subtle and vertical.
Top pairing: Pici with meat sauce or grilled beef tagliata.
