Description
Lucente 2023 – Tenuta Luce
The contemporary elegance of Montalcino: velvety, fruity, and remarkably approachable.
Lucente is the “second vin” of Tenuta Luce, the iconic Montalcino estate born from the meeting of Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. Crafted with the same meticulous care reserved for the flagship blend, Lucente offers a more immediate, fresh, and accessible interpretation, without ever sacrificing the class and depth that define the estate.
The 2023 vintage delivers a wine of extraordinary harmony and expressiveness. On the nose, it opens with an intense bouquet of ripe red and black berries, such as black cherry and blackberry, enriched by elegant notes of licorice, sweet spices, and a subtle toasted touch. On the palate, it is round, silky, and incredibly enveloping; the well-balanced freshness and smooth, polished tannins make for an effortless sip, leading to a long, clean, and savory finish.
A contemporary blend that marries the roundness of Merlot with the structure and elegance of Sangiovese, aged for about 12 months in barriques to achieve a perfect expressive balance.
