Description
La Rasina Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2024 is produced in the rolling hills of Montalcino, Tuscany, exclusively from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Often regarded as the younger sibling of Brunello di Montalcino, it offers an approachable and vibrant expression while preserving the elegance and distinctive character of its prestigious appellation.
In the glass, it displays a bright ruby-red colour. The nose is fresh and expressive, revealing aromas of ripe cherry, black cherry, raspberry and wild red berries, complemented by delicate violet notes and subtle hints of sweet spices and balsamic nuances.
On the palate, it is fresh, balanced and refined, with silky tannins, lively acidity and excellent drinkability. The finish is long and persistent, leaving elegant impressions of red fruit and delicate mineral notes.
A highly versatile food wine, it pairs beautifully with Tuscan cured meats, pasta with meat sauces, wild boar ragù, grilled meats, roasted dishes, medium-aged cheeses and traditional Tuscan cuisine.
Serve at 16–18°C (61–64°F). Delicious when young, it also has the potential to develop gracefully over the next several years.
