Description
Morisfarms ‘ Vermentino Costa Toscana 2024 is the newest and most vibrant expression of Maremma. This vintage confirms the Moris family’s style: a wine that focuses on immediate freshness and an unbreakable connection to the Tuscan coast.
Here is a brief description of 2024:
Organoleptic Profile
-
Color: Bright straw yellow with obvious greenish highlights, a sign of great youth and integrity.
-
Nose: Extremely varietal and “marine.” Notes of cedar, pink grapefruit and white peach explode on the nose, followed by a bouquet of wild herbs such as thyme and myrtle.
-
Taste: In the mouth it is snappy and vertical. The 2024 vintage gives crisp acidity and an almost saline mineral savoriness that continually invites one to sip. The finish is clean, with the typical return of bitter almond.
Technical Characteristics
-
Grapes: 100% Vermentino.
-
Vinification: Only steel and short bottle aging to preserve the “primary fruit.”
-
Terroir: Comes from the sandy-clay soils of the Massa Marittima area, where coastal breezes cool the clusters ensuring intense aromas.
Ideal Pairings
It is the iconic wine of summer and seafood cuisine:
-
Aperitif: Perfect on its own or with seafood appetizers.
-
Seafood Dishes: amberjack tartare, spaghetti allo scoglio or fried paranza.
-
Vegetarian Cuisine: Excellent with asparagus dishes, artichokes or gourmet salads.
Note on the vintage: The 2024 at Morisfarms was characterized by excellent temperature management, resulting in a Vermentino particularly balanced between fruit ripeness and acidic freshness, without alcoholic excess.
Excellent choice for carefree but quality drinking.
